About Me

“I know nothing in the world that has as much power as a word. Sometimes I write one, and I look at it, until it begins to shine.”
Emily Dickinson

My love of books and the ‘written’ word started in my childhood, now in my early 50’s it is still an important part of my life. Books have got me through some difficult times over the years and I am keen to share some of the great books and authors past and present.

In the past I have had an interest in radio and especially pirate radio and then from the late 1970’s through to the early 1980’s I got involved in both pirate radio (Liverpool and London) and then moved into Hospital radio (South London) during the 1980’s.

For some time it has been plan to start a book review service now after a ‘trying’ and sometimes a painful birth I decided to take the plunge in November 2014 I have Set up the blog and the Social Media accounts.  I am guessing as you are reading this you are as lover of the written word. Welcome to ‘The Last Word – Book Review’ and thank you for taking the time to view my blog. This is just the first step in what I hope will become something bigger and exciting as time goes on. 2015 holds some exciting ideas. I have past experience in broadcasting and this is something that I hope to bring together in 2015.

There is something quite special about visiting your local book store and picking up a new book is it the smell of a newly printed book that gets you first?

I am also available for any media related book reviews that you may require. Please feel free to contact me for further information.

The Last Word Book Review can be contacted by publishers via the ‘Contact’ page. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you and happy reading.
